Recently I'm a go with the flow kind of girl, or I'm trying to be. Not sure how well I'm succeeding but hey, at least I'm trying. I'm also trying out the whole eating clean regime its going pretty well. I've found a love for cous cous so I was thinking of maybe posting some of the recipes I've been following/adapting to suit my taste buds.
Oh yeh, so this post was suppose to be about interning... So I'm interning at a fashion brand called Gyunel, which is based in London. I've been here since last summer and I had to have a break for about a month just because I got super busy with making garments and writing essays. But I'm backkk!
Last week was pretty quiet compared to what I'm used to but then again when I first started I was one of two part-time interns and now I'm one of three full time interns. I've been pretty busy this week travelling to and from shops to source trims, amending patterns and manipulating artwork. At the moment there are many different things going on at once as the AW15 show just went, Couture is coming up and SS15 is now in the shops. BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!! Just the way I like it!
One of the things that made my week last week was that Gyunel, the owner and designer, said to me that she didn't realise how much she missed having me around until I came back as no one had to tell me what to do. I think it's partly due to the fact that I help wherever I am needed regardless of if it was part of my initial intern job description. It was extremely nice to know I was missed by the people I work with and coming into the second week things seem to be running a lot smoother for me now that I'm in a good flow.
